Hotel Maintenance Manager

Role Overview

The role of the Hotel Maintenance Manager,is to ensure excellent maintenance of the buildings, infrastructure and the overall appearance of our hotel. The role comprises overall maintenance and upkeep of the hotel building’s infrastructure and exterior.

About the Role

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing hotel infrastructure to ensure functionality and safety
• Organizing repair, installation and renovation projects
• Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards
• Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities (e.g. kitchens, tennis courts)
• Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests
• Plan and oversee renovations and construction
• Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages)
• Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy
• Supervise team of Maintenance Technicians and Janitors
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
• Maintain budgets, expenses and activity logs
• Troubleshoot the issues and act on the complaints on a timely basis
• Designate task to the other members of the team

About you

• Degree or Diploma in any field of maintenance and/or engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial position at a hotel
• Proficiency in all Microsft Office Applications
• Proficient knowledge of the English language
• Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, working with colleagues to share skills, knowledge, resources and networks
• Able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to perform well under pressure
• Hard working & team player, with a result-oriented attitude

Desirable Qualifications

• Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, sewer and HVAC systems; hotel industry experience is a plus
• Knowledge of any other language will be considered as an asset
• Related license to the field of study will be considered an asset
